Irelands is the sum of two leading family-owned Christchurch property management and real estate companies — First Avenue Property and Irelands.

Irelands was originally founded by Bernice Ireland in 1995 and the business has since stayed in the family, her daughter Melissa Benge (nee Ireland) bought into the business in 2017 while steering the ship over at First Avenue Property alongside her husband and business partner, Martin Benge. In May 2022, the two companies amalgamated under the Irelands name, with Melissa moving into the Managing Director role while Bernice and Martin have taken a step back.

Nothing has changed for our landlords, tenants, property buyers and sellers. ’The company ‘property made easy’ remains true. We strive to make your life easier, and we know that trust is vital – so we work hard to earn yours!
