Tenancy Services have been fielding a high volume of inbound calls in recent months due to a seasonal peak in fixed term tenancies ending, and changes in rental laws coming into effect.
The high volume of calls has led to renters having issues getting through to Tenancy Services, as highlighted by an RNZ interview with a Christchurch renter. But don’t fret — there is an alternative.
When to use Tenancy Services Bonds Enquiry form
If you need to get in touch with Tenancy Services with an enquiry related to bonds, we suggest using this Bonds Enquiry Form where you can submit general bond questions, questions about the property you rent as a tenant or rent out as a landlord, or update your bond details.
You can include your email or phone number in your form and request a preferred time for a callback, which will happen if required to successfully field your enquiry. We’ve been told the bond enquiry form can create a response in as little as 24 hours and encourage you to utilise it if your question can’t be answered by your property manager.
